OTel Metrics API Spec stable September 2021 ; GA SDK. Compatible with Prometheus on export. Supports Exemplars (link metric to trace ID). Aggregation Temporality CUMULATIVE (Prometheus default) or DELTA (Datadog default). View API for SDK-side metric reshaping.
