GOVCBR
UN/EDIFACT envelope for WCO Data Model regulatory declarations.
Definition
GOVCBR is a generic, highly reusable message designed to convey any governmental cross-border regulatory procedure (import, export, transit, cargo report, permits) using the WCO Data Model semantics. It lets a single window exchange harmonised data with Customs and other border agencies, progressively superseding procedure-specific messages such as CUSDEC and CUSCAR.
Origin
Defined by UN/CEFACT (TBG4) in alignment with the World Customs Organization (WCO) Data Model and published in the UN/EDIFACT directories (UNTDID).
