Definition

eFTI Regulation adopted 15 July 2020 by European Parliament and Council. Covers CMR regulation (road), Cotif (rail), CMNI (inland waterway), Montreal Convention (air). eFTI platforms must be certified by notified bodies ; data accessible to authorities via standard API. Implementing Acts under discussion 2024 for data model and certification. Synergy with eCMR and MLETR (UNCITRAL Model Law Electronic Transferable Records).

Origin

Regulation (EU) 2020/1056 published OJ 31 July 2020 ; entry into force 20 August 2020 ; acceptance obligation 21 August 2024.
