SyncJournalEntry — Journal entry broadcast

OAGIS BOD combining the verb Sync and the noun JournalEntry. Business cornerstone of the finance domain in the OAGIS 10.x ecosystem.

BOD purpose

The SyncJournalEntry BOD broadcasts in publish mode posted journal entries toward consumer systems (BI, consolidation, regulatory reporting). Combined with ProcessJournalEntry (transactional), it enables a complete post-then-publish chain.

Structure (ApplicationArea + DataArea)

As every OAGIS BOD, SyncJournalEntry stacks an ApplicationArea technical envelope (Sender, BODID, CreationDateTime) and a DataArea business payload containing the verb Sync and the noun JournalEntry.

Minimal OAGIS 10.x payload for didactic purposes. The structural elements (header + business line) are required in any conformant implementation.

Use case

SAP S/4HANA broadcasts nightly via SyncJournalEntry every journal entry posted during the day toward BlackLine (reconciliation) and SAP Group Reporting (IFRS consolidation).

EDI equivalents

No direct EDI counterpart on the gateway: this BOD is strictly internal to the OAGIS / ERP ecosystem, with no openly standardised EDIFACT or X12 counterpart.
