OAGIS BOD combining the Show verb with the Catalog noun. Direct canonical equivalent of EDI EDIFACT PRICAT and X12 832 messages in OAGIS 10.x's Catalog domain.

BOD purpose

The ShowCatalog BOD is the type response to a GetCatalog. It carries the catalogue structure (header, items, price lines, validity dates). Larger than transactional BODs, it is often paginated in practice.

Structure (ApplicationArea + DataArea)

Like every OAGIS BOD, ShowCatalog stacks an ApplicationArea technical envelope (Sender, BODID, CreationDateTime) and a business DataArea that contains the verb and the noun.

• CatalogHeader — supplier, validity, version.
• CatalogItem — ItemIDs, multilingual descriptions, attributes, classifications.
• PriceLine — price per customer segment, currency, validity dates.

Use case

The Office Supplies supplier responds to GetCatalog with a ShowCatalog of 8,000 items, paginated in 16 fragments of 500 items each. The buyer platform consolidates in database before publication to internal users.
