ZUGFeRD Profiles
The data levels of the German-French hybrid invoice format ZUGFeRD/Factur-X.
Definition
ZUGFeRD is a hybrid invoice: a human-readable PDF/A-3 with an embedded CII (UN/CEFACT) XML file. Each invoice declares a profile. In ZUGFeRD 2.x, MINIMUM, BASIC WL and BASIC do not fully cover EN 16931, whereas EN 16931 (formerly COMFORT), EXTENDED and XRECHNUNG are EN 16931-compliant. MINIMUM and BASIC WL do not constitute a full VAT invoice under German law.
Origin
Specified by FeRD (Forum elektronische Rechnung Deutschland); harmonized with France's Factur-X by FNFE-MPE. The current line is ZUGFeRD 2.3 / Factur-X 1.0.07, aligned with EN 16931-1.
