XML standard for structured financial reporting.
Definition
XBRL 2.1 (published December 2003, final recommendation) provides the markup language tying each financial fact (revenue, debt, asset) to a concept formally defined in a taxonomy. The XBRL 2.1 + XDT 1.0 (Dimensions) + Formula 1.0 specifications form the consistent suite. Maintained by XBRL International (XII).
