X12 detail segment of the 820, invoice-by-invoice matching.
Definition
RMR loops in the detail area of the 820. RMR01 identifies the reference type (often IV for invoice number), RMR02 carries the settled invoice number, RMR04 the amount paid and RMR05 the net amount due. It is the key segment for automatic matching of a received payment against open receivables.
Origin
Defined in the ASC X12 Segment Directory (ANSI ASC X12.6 standard), used by transaction set 820, maintained by the Accredited Standards Committee X12.
