DELFOR

UN/EDIFACT DELFOR message, supply forecasting and planning.

Definition

DELFOR carries forecast requirements (often spanning weeks or months), mixing firm and planning horizons through the SCC segment. It provides the planning frame that the DELJIT message later refines for the short term. Widely used in automotive supply chains.

Origin

A standard message type of the UN/EDIFACT directory (UNTDID), maintained by UN/CEFACT and published by UNECE; profiled by EANCOM (GS1) and automotive VDA/Odette guidelines.
