Spain's B2B platform for public-procurement subcontractors.

Definition

FACeB2B extends FACe into B2B: it lets main contractors and their subcontractors exchange Facturae electronic invoices. Its use is mandatory for public-administration subcontractors above EUR 5,000. It must not be confused with FACe, which covers B2G only.

Origin

Mandated by Ley 9/2017 of 8 November (Public Sector Contracts Act, art. 217), which requires subcontractors of public contracts to invoice the main contractor electronically.

Example in context

A subcontractor on a public works project issues a EUR 12,000 Facturae invoice and posts it to FACeB2B; the main contractor retrieves it through its DIRe interface before paying.
