FACe
Spain's B2G portal for receiving Facturae invoices.
Definition
FACe is the portal operated by the Administración General del Estado (Ministry of Finance) that receives, registers and routes electronic invoices in Facturae format to public bodies. The issuer need not register; a digital certificate is sufficient. Some autonomous communities run their own connected entry point.
Origin
Made mandatory by Ley 25/2013 of 27 December (B2G e-invoicing, effective 15 January 2015), with technical conditions set by Orden HAP/1074/2014.
Example in context
A State supplier uploads its .xsig file (signed Facturae) to FACe; FACe assigns a registration number (RCF) and routes the invoice to the recipient's accounting unit (DIR3 code).
