Definition

schema.org is a vocabulary to annotate web pages with structured data understood by search engines (Google, Bing, Yandex) and knowledge graphs. Near 800 types — Invoice, Order, MonetaryAmount, Organization, Person — and 1500 properties. Serialisable in JSON-LD, Microdata or RDFa.

Origin

Launched June 2011 by Google, Microsoft Bing and Yahoo. Yandex joined 2011. v25 published 2024.
