EDIFACT segment for package identification and marking.
Definition
PCI states the package marking type via a marking instructions code (data element 4233). Code 33E in particular signals SSCC-label marking, priming the following GIN segment to carry the container's serial number.
Origin
A segment of the UN/EDIFACT UNTDID directory (UN/CEFACT); its use in the despatch advice is detailed by the GS1 EANCOM DESADV guidelines.
