New Zealand's national business identifier, counterpart to Australia's ABN.
Definition
The NZBN is assigned to every New Zealand business and is built on GS1's Global Location Number (GLN). On the Peppol network the NZBN serves as the participant identifier (recipient's electronic address), prefixed by New Zealand's ICD 0088 from the EAS code list. It is administered by the Companies Office (MBIE).

Established by the New Zealand Business Number Act 2016, administered by the Companies Office (Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment); structure based on the GS1 GLN standard (ISO/IEC 6523).
