The catch-all X12 segment for code-qualified references.
Definition
N9 uses N901 as qualifier (128 values: "BL" = Bill of lading, "PO" = Purchase Order, "DA" = Document/agreement, "AT" = Appropriation) and N902 as reference identification. Used to attach multiple references to a transaction (order, BoL, contract, customer file) without using N1/N2.
