Definition
The MT202 is sent by or on behalf of the ordering institution to move funds to another financial institution. It carries field 20 (Transaction Reference), field 21 (Related Reference), field 32A (value date/currency/amount) and field 58a (Beneficiary Institution). It is typically used to settle the interbank leg of a payment or to move nostro/vostro account balances.
