UN/EDIFACT data element 1225 of the BGM segment, the pivot of the order lifecycle.

Definition

Placed in element 1225 of the BGM segment, this code tells the receiver how to treat the message relative to earlier transmissions: 9 = original, 7 = duplicate, 4 = change, 5 = replace, 1 = cancellation, 3 = deletion. It is what separates a fresh order from a resend or an ORDCHG.
