MDF-e

Brazilian electronic transport manifest, SEFAZ compliance.

Definition

The MDF-e ties one vehicle and driver to all the NF-e and CT-e carried on a trip, giving tax authorities an aggregated view of the load in transit. Issued before departure and authorised by SEFAZ, it must be explicitly closed ("encerramento") when the transport ends.

Origin

Established by Ajuste SINIEF 21/2010 and specified in the MDF-e Manual de Orientação do Contribuinte, published by CONFAZ / ENCAT.
