pacs.002

ISO 20022 message in the pacs family, interbank settlement status.

Definition

pacs.002 (FIToFIPaymentStatusReport) returns the status of an earlier pacs message between agents. The GrpSts or TxSts carries an ExternalPaymentTransactionStatus code (ACSC accepted/settled, RJCT rejected, ACSP in progress); a rejection adds StsRsnInf with a reason code (e.g. AC04, AM05). It is the standard response message of RTGS and clearing systems (TARGET2, CHAPS).

Origin

Defined in the ISO 20022 Payments Clearing and Settlement Message Definition Report (ISO TC 68/SC 9), Registration Authority SWIFT; usage constrained by the CBPR+ and HVPS+ Usage Guidelines.
