Intrastat code — 8-digit code (Combined Nomenclature) to declare for intra-EU goods trade. Pivot of DEB declarations in France.
Origin
Established in 1993 by EU regulation (EEC) 3330/91, replaced by (EU) 638/2004 and then (EU) 2019/2152. Managed by Eurostat and national institutes (INSEE / Customs in France).
Use
In intra-EU B2B EDIFACT DESADV or INVOIC, the Intrastat code (CN8) accompanies the 6-digit HSN in the PIA segment or a dedicated segment of sector MIGs.
