UN/EDIFACT consignment-tracking message, transport and logistics.

Definition

IFTSTA (International multimodal status report) supports track and trace: it reports one or more events (loaded, in transit, customs-cleared, delivered) via the STS segment, dated and located (DTM, LOC), for a consignment identified by its reference (RFF). It is the logical reply to IFTMIN instructions on the same consignment.

Origin

A message type from the UN/EDIFACT directory published by UNECE/CEFACT (UN/EDIFACT United Nations Directories). Its status values draw on code list UNCL 4405 (Status, coded.)
