IFTMIN

UN/EDIFACT message of the IFTM family, transport and logistics.

Definition

IFTMIN (Instruction message) carries a firm carriage instruction: the parties (consignor, consignee, notify), pickup and delivery places and dates, mode and means of transport (TDT segment), equipment (EQD), and the consignment (CNI) and goods-item (GID) levels. It belongs to the IFTM family that also includes IFTMBF (booking request), IFTMBC (booking confirmation) and IFTMCS (service-level instruction.)

Origin

A message type from the UN/EDIFACT directory published by UNECE/CEFACT (UN/EDIFACT United Nations Directories, e.g. D.16B). It evolved out of the earlier IFTMBF/IFTMCS messages in the IFTM series.
