IDMP UCUM pharma measurement units.

Definition

ISO 11240:2012 (2024 revision in progress) harmonises units: mg, g, mL, IU, mEq, etc. Couples UCUM (Anglo-Saxon clinical system) and EDQM codes. Enables automatic conversion. Distinct from UN/ECE Recommendation 20 (EDIFACT units) for specialised regulatory use.
