IATA-PRICING-TOMORROW

IATA dynamic airline pricing programme.

Definition

Pricing Tomorrow is a strand of the IATA Modern Airline Retailing program. It aims to replace the ATPCO fare filing model (publish all fares before sale) with API-driven dynamic pricing, where price is computed on-demand based on customer profile, context, inventory. Implementation requires modern offer management systems, revenue management redesign, and NDC Level 4 alignment. Finalisation roadmap targets 2030 per IATA Annual Review.

Origin

Launched by IATA as part of Modern Airline Retailing 2019 ; roadmap published in IATA Annual Review.

Example in context

Lufthansa Group tests a dynamic pricing engine for intercontinental flights displaying a personalised offer price rather than a fixed ATPCO fare table.
