NTE
HL7 v2 Notes and Comments segment, clinical orders and results domain.
Definition
NTE adds notes to the segment it is subordinate to. Fields: NTE-1 Set ID, NTE-2 Source of Comment, NTE-3 Comment. Placed after an OBX it comments a value; after an OBR it comments the request. Its scope depends strictly on its position in the message.

Defined in Chapter 2 (Control) of the HL7 Version 2.x Messaging Standard, published by HL7 International, and reused across many messages.
