GPKE
German electricity supply market processes (BNetzA), executed via EDIFACT.
Definition
GPKE describes, via activity diagrams, the exchanges between suppliers, grid operators, metering operators and balancing-group managers. These processes run on the EDIFACT messages UTILMD, MSCONS and APERAK profiled by the EDI@Energy format.
Origin
Defined by a Bundesnetzagentur (BNetzA) ruling, with application aids (Anwendungshilfen) and diagrams published by the BDEW (German Association of Energy and Water Industries).
Example in context
Supplier-switch (Lieferantenwechsel) process: the new supplier sends a UTILMD "start of supply", and the grid operator replies with UTILMD/APERAK depending on acceptance.
