GLN-SUBLOCATION
Sous-emplacement GLN. See official source.
Definition
GLN sub-location — GS1 practice of using the extension component to identify a physical sub-unit (dock, aisle, shelf) of a parent GLN.
Origin
Described in the GS1 GLN standard and deployed in advanced logistics. The sub-location is carried by Application Identifiers (414) + (254) in the GS1-128 barcode.
Use
A warehouse GLN 3017898000005 can reference its dock 12 via the sub-location 12; DESADV/RECADV messages thus point to the precise unloading location.
