EU legal framework for agri-food traceability.

Definition

Article 18 of Regulation 178/2002: every operator must identify immediate suppliers (one-step-back) and immediate customers (one-step-forward). Creates RASFF (Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed) for incident notifications. Foundation of FSMA 204 on the EU side.
