eIDAS 2.0 — European Digital Identity Wallet regulation.
Definition
eIDAS2 (Regulation EU 2024/1183 amending 910/2014) introduces the EU Digital Identity Wallet (EUDI). Each member state must provide at least one digital wallet to its citizens by 2026. Wallet stores qualified electronic attestations of attributes (QEAA), enables cross-border authentication, free qualified signature for non-pro use.
