UN/EDIFACT SCC segment, schedule commitment status.
Definition
The SCC segment carries the delivery plan status indicator (data element 4017): for example 1 = firm, 2 = commitment for manufacturing and material, 3 = commitment for material, 4 = planning/forecast. It is what distinguishes, inside a single DELFOR, firm quantities from purely forecast ones.
Origin
A segment of the UN/EDIFACT directory (UNTDID); the data element 4017 code values are defined in the UNECE Trade Data Element Directory, maintained by UN/CEFACT.
