UN/EDIFACT product master-data message.
Definition
PRODAT submits rarely-changed master data to identify and describe the products a supplier offers to (potential) customers. It carries technical and functional descriptions with long-term validity but no commercial terms (prices), which distinguishes it from PRICAT.
Origin
Defined in the UN/EDIFACT directory (UNTDID), source TBG1 Supply Chain (UNECE). Profiled in the GS1 EANCOM subset.
