UN/EDIFACT catalogue message, product and price data.
Definition
PRICAT transmits pricing and catalogue information (assortment, descriptions, prices) from a seller to a buyer. It can also act as a response to accept, reject or negotiate prices. The received data is then used to prepare orders (ORDERS).
Origin
Defined in the UN/EDIFACT directory (UNTDID), maintained by UNECE / the TBG1 Supply Chain group. Widely used via the GS1 EANCOM 2002 subset.
