PAYORD

UN/EDIFACT finance message, customer-to-bank payment order.

Definition

PAYORD (Payment Order message) instructs a bank to execute a payment on behalf of an ordering party. It opens with BGM, then chains FII (financial institutions), MOA (amounts) and RFF (references). Largely superseded by PAYMUL for bulk payments.
