GTIN (EAN)
GS1 trade-item identifier used in catalogue messages.
Definition
In EANCOM, every product should where possible be identified by a GTIN transmitted in the LIN segment, via component C212 (DE 7140, format n..14) with qualifier EN for a GS1 GTIN. It guarantees item uniqueness between partners in PRICAT and PRODAT.
