CUFE

Unique identifier of the Colombian electronic invoice, controlled by the DIAN.

Definition

The CUFE (Código Único de Factura Electrónica) is a unique identifier computed as a SHA-384 hash over a concatenation of key invoice fields (number, dates, amounts, issuer and buyer NIT, VAT values, environment code and a technical key). It guarantees the integrity and uniqueness of each invoice validated by the DIAN. Credit and debit notes use the CUDE variant.

Origin

Defined by Colombia's DIAN (Dirección de Impuestos y Aduanas Nacionales) in the «Anexo Técnico de Factura Electrónica de Venta» of the prior-validation (validación previa) model.
