CAF

Chilean e-invoicing element, authorization of DTE numbering by the SII.

Definition

The CAF (Código de Asignación de Folios) is an XML file issued by the Servicio de Impuestos Internos (SII) that grants a taxpayer a range of folios (sequential numbers) for a specific Documento Tributario Electrónico type. It carries the SII's RSA public key and signature, used to validate the authenticity of every DTE issued within that folio range.

Defined by Chile's Servicio de Impuestos Internos (SII) in the «Formato de Documentos Tributarios Electrónicos» and the related Resolución Exenta SII governing electronic invoicing.
