CCTS
UN/CEFACT specification, the semantic foundation of the Core Component model.
Definition
CCTS defines a meta-model that separates Core Components (ACC, BCC, ASCC), which are context-free, from Business Information Entities (ABIE, BBIE, ASBIE), which are restricted to a business context. It is syntax-neutral: the same CCTS model can be projected to XML (UBL, CII) or to EDIFACT.
Origin
Published by UN/CEFACT (CCTS version 2.01, 2003) and standardised as ISO 15000-5 (Information technology — ebXML — Core Components Technical Specification).
Example in context
The Core Component "Address. Details" is restricted in the invoicing context to the ABIE "Postal Address. Details", reused by both UBL and the CII.
